The reason for the variation between the nominal and actual width is because our slatted bed mechanisms are made in Germany to metric equivalents unlike other retailers that buy in from the Far East.
The length of an adjustable bed mattress is generally 6’6” (2m) long, even as a single bed whereas conventional beds would only be 6’3” (190cm). The simple reason for this is that raising the head end and foot ends will have the effect of shortening the mattress.
If you are restricted on space, we can make a 6ft 3in short adjustable bed. Please note that there will be a small premium to pay as it breaks our normal production.
We are often asked “what is the height of an adjustable bed?” We manufacture our range from single electric adjustable beds to 4ft electric beds to a height of 22” (56cm) from the floor to the top of the mattress. This is an ideal height for most people however, not everyone is the same. For this reason, we offer to make our beds 2” (5cm) higher or lower at no extra cost.
Choose from our range of beautifully crafted handmade headboards. We have a selection of designs to cater for a range of budgets and styles. All headboards will be upholstered in your choice of colour / material to match your adjustable bed base.
If you require easy access to additional storage for your individual or twin adjustable bed. Our storage drawer/s are handmade using high-quality materials designed to withstand the challenges of day-to-day use.
Drawers are only positioned at the foot end of our adjustable beds to clear the motor and mechanics of the bed. These are 6” (15cm) deep to provide the maximum storage available.
NOTE: Drawers are not available when requesting reduced adjustable bed height.

The ‘Cool Spring Ultimate Mattress’ is the combination of the best products currently available. The soft feel top layer of ’Revo foam’ works in harmony with the high- density memory foam second layer, producing incredible support and improved airflow by 28%, compared to conventional visco-elastic mattresses, reducing the likelihood overheating. The support of the top two layers is enhanced with the additional use of ‘Nano Springs’ adjusting to your body, with the base layer of ‘Reflex Foam®’ which maintains the body’s correct posture. You will feel the benefit of a night sleep like no other.
How it works.
5 Motor Massage System. This fantastic massage system is far from being a gimmick. Powerful built in motors can give a gentle soothing massage or simply increase the intensity for an invigorating massage, passively exercising you whilst circulating blood to the joints and muscles. Relax in the knowledge that the timer will automatically switch off after a set time.
To assist in getting in and out of bed, the option of more supportive firmer Transfer-edges is available to add to your mattress. This can be found under the ‘Extras’ category.
Your mattress is designed to flex and mould to your body shape to give you optimum support, however for anyone suffering with mobility problems, the additional pressure when sitting on the side of the mattress will cause the sides to compress, increasing the risk of sliding. Adding the Transfer-edge will give increased stability to the side of your mattress reducing the risk of mattress compression whilst not reducing the all-round support of your mattress.

5-part adjustable bed mechanism
For the majority of users, our five-part adjustable Bed Mechanism will provide the perfect solution for your needs. Rated for users up to 18st (115kg) Raising the back section will first bring the neck or pillow section up to a nice natural position. Once the neck section has lifted, the back section will automatically follow until you take your finger off the button. The centre section is static. When sitting up in bed more weight is directed vertically down and so this section is fitted with adjustable tensioners to make the slats firmer or softer as desired. The foot end is two sections, the upper and lower leg and is raised by lifting from the knee. The action of the foot end is that as the legs raise the feet are brought up at 10° below the knee.
The functionality of the ‘heavy duty mechanism’ is exactly the same as our standard adjustable bed mechanism. Unlike an ordinary divan style bed, when there is no one on the mattress, adjusting the head and foot ends will mean there are only two small areas of contact between the mattress and the slatted base. This means that the slightest pressure or nudge when getting into bed will cause the mattress to slide. Although the mattress retaining clips are a not a necessity, they will save a lot of frustration repositioning the mattress.
Made from tough nylon they are strong enough to hold the mattress in position yet flexible enough not to cause injury if you sit on the mattress above the bars. The bars sit below the level of the top of the mattress. Sheets can easily be fitted around or on the inside of the bars.
The mattress holders are simply fixed to the inside plywood frame of the adjustable mechanism. Simply screw through the pre drilled holes. You can follow our easy installation guide.
The option of castors is only available when selecting options for your adjustable bed. For an additional £20 per bed you can upgrade to our strong Single castors with brakes which makes it easy to move your adjustable bed. Simply flick the small brake lever up to unlock, reposition and push the brake down to lock it.
Our castors have a load capacity of 50kg each in comparison to general quality castors having a rating of 30kg. A 10mm thread into a steel insert threaded into hardwood corner posts for strength.
Our adjustable beds come as standard with wooden feet with a felt pad to protect the floor. Adjustable beds are not particularly heavy and can be moved relatively easily however if you need to move the beds regularly and will find it difficult it may be a good idea to pay a little more to upgrade to have castors.

Once your order has been placed you will receive a delivery date range. We will contact you before the Friday prior to your delivery with an exact date and a time slot. On the day of your delivery, you will receive a text message within 2 hours of your delivery.
Deliveries will be taken into the room of your choice and demonstrations will be given after all installations.
Installation time can vary from 45 minutes – 1 ½ Hours.
